Many manufacturers of home phones are adding a number of more innovative and relevant specifications in order to make life easier for everyone, young and old. 

How could a home phone be used in conjunction with a cell phone? Bluetooth. That's how. With the rise in sales of mobile phones rising each year, the home phone companies have really taken a blow on their sales. In order to improve their sales they are implementing new ideas into their products.

The phone manufacturers are now implementing bluetooth into their hardware which makes home phones more of use and more relevant to the buyer. Well most people get rid of their home phones because they only want to manage one phone at a time. So by using bluetooth, when a person walks within a certain distance of the phone, it will connect to the home phone via bluetooth. What this means is that once you are in range, your cell phone calls will be redirected to your home phone, which could have multiple handsets around the house and thus, more likelihood that you will answer. You can also import your cell phone library via bluetooth and you can call people from your cell phone using your house phone.

No one needs this capability. it will just make things easier for most people. Keeping track of only one phone at a time is easier for people that are older or people that are busy. With this feature, you can never wonder which phone is ringing and never answer the right one. It will always go through your home phone.
